In our earlier posts, we discussed how to setup next day delivery. Here we will discuss how to setup next day delivery charges in Order Delivery Date Pro for WooCommerce plugin.
There are few businesses like a wine shop, cake shop, Christmas tree shop where you can deliver the orders on the immediate next day of the date on which order is placed. But, you will charge an additional cost for the next day delivery apart from the order total.
This feature is available in the plugin where you can add additional charges for next day delivery. You can setup this under Order Delivery Date -> General Settings -> Time settings.
Additional Charges for Next Day Delivery: Admin Setting
If you have an online sweet shop where you charge extra $20 on the order if a customer wants the delivery on the next day itself. So, you need to set 20 in the Additional Charges for next day delivery option.
Additional Charges for Next Day Delivery: Checkout Page
Once, you have setup charges, if a customer selects the next day in the calendar, then the additional charges will be included in the order total. And if the customer then selects another date, the charges will be removed.
The next day will be calculated based on the WordPress current timezone and not based on the customer’s local timezone.
The additional charges will be calculated only on the immediate next date and not on the following days. So for example, if the next date is disabled for delivery on your website or if the cut-off time is over for the next day delivery, then the charges will not be added for the following day.
Conclusion
In this post, we saw how you can add an additional cost for next day delivery. This feature is useful for the businesses where you deliver your product on the next day but only with an extra cost.
