In this post, we will discuss the changes in version 6.0 of Order Delivery Date Pro for WooCommerce plugin. The new version has the changes made on Order Delivery Date -> General Settings -> Date settings tab.
Delivery Days Setting
In the version before 6.0, the Delivery Days checkbox can be checked or unchecked as per your business requirements. If the checkbox is checked, the weekday will be enabled for delivery in the calendar on the checkout page. And if it not checked, it means you do not deliver your products on that day.
But in the latest update version 6.0, you will find Delivery Days option as a multi-select dropdown and not as checkboxes. By default, the days which were checked in the previous version will be auto selected in the dropdown. You can select the new weekdays from the dropdown or can remove the select weekday.
For example, if the checkboxes for Monday to Friday weekdays were checked in the last update. So you will find those weekdays auto selected in the dropdown.
Delivery Charges and Checkout Label
There were two more options along with the weekday’s checkbox on the Date Settings tab. They are Delivery Charges for each weekday and the Checkout label used for the Delivery Charges on the checkout page.
In the latest version, 6.0 of the plugin the Delivery Charges and Checkout label for Delivery Charges are shifted from the Date Settings tab to the Weekday Settings tab.
Weekday Settings tab will be visible on the Order Delivery Date page only when the Weekday Settings checkbox on the General Settings -> Date Settings tab is checked.
The default value of the checkbox is disabled when the plugin is installed. But while updating if there are charges added for any of the weekdays then the checkbox will be checked and the charges will be displayed on the Weekday Settings tab for the weekdays.
We will be discussing the Weekday Settings tab features in our next post.
