How To Setup Holidays/Blackout Dates At The Product Level on Product Delivery Date Pro

In our earlier post, we saw how you can add settings to prevent delivery of all your WooCommerce products on specific dates like public holidays or festive times, etc. Today we shall understand how to set holidays/blackout dates at the product level which will be specific to individual products and not all the products of your store.

Using our Product Delivery Date Pro for WooCommerce plugin, the site admin can prevent the delivery of products on his store by using No delivery on these dates option which is present on the Add New / Edit Product page.

Let us understand this setting using an instance. Say you are running a Bakery business and do not prepare and deliver Blueberry Cheese Cake on particular dates. Therefore you need to add this setting in the backend to reflect its details on the frontend delivery calendar.

Admin Experience

In order to add the dates on which you want to prevent delivery of Blueberry Cheese Cake, go to Products->Add Product link. On the same Products page, you will find the Product Delivery Date Meta Box, click on the Settings tab and add dates from the calendar under the No delivery on these dates option as shown below:

Adding dates when delivery of Blueberry cheese cake will not take place

As you can see, dates 11th and 12th March 2025 are added when delivery of the Blueberry cheese cake will not take place.

After adding these dates on the Product page, click on the Update button and the added dates in the No delivery on these dates field will be disabled on the delivery calendar for Blueberry Cheese Cake on your store. This ensures that no customers can select this product for delivery on these dates.

Customer Experience

Now when you check on the front end, the delivery calendar on your store will show dates 11th and 12th March 2025 disabled which helps prevent delivery of Blueberry Cheese Cake on 11th and 12th March 2025 as shown below:
