With this new feature, store owners can assign priorities to delivery schedules, ensuring that delivery conflicts get handled intelligently.

Here is an example showing how this Priority-Based Delivery Schedule feature works;

Let’s say you are an owner of a grocery business who runs a grocery store online. In your store, you provide 2 product categories;

Category 1 – Fresh Produce

Category 2 – Frozen Foods

Assume that you have set specific delivery schedule for each category as mentioned below;

Delivery schedule for fresh produce:

• • Tue – available

• • Wed – available

Delivery schedule for frozen foods:

• • Sat – available

• • Sun – available

Now, when customers add products from both the categories to the cart, you can set the priority as to whether the delivery schedule for fresh produce should be given preference or the delivery schedule for frozen foods should be given preference. Earlier, we would only show the common delivery days from both schedules, which at times would result in no date being available unless at least 1 weekday was overlapping between the two delivery schedules. This way, store owners can prioritize the delivery schedules as per their convenience.

Delivery Fields in WooCommerce Checkout Block

Another exciting feature introduced in Order Delivery Date Pro version 10.3.0 is the integration of Delivery Fields in the WooCommerce Checkout Block.
